WOOD SCREWS
step 1/ To prevent the wood spli ng we recommend pre-drilling all wood to be
screwed. Always drill at least 15 mm less deep than the length of the screw. Pre-
drill wood screws with a diameter of 4.5 mm with a 3 mm wood bore bit.
step 2/ First turn the screw one or two millimetres into the plank to be secured,
then press this
fi
rmly against the other piece of wood.
step 3/ Tighten the screw with the torx TX20 bit supplied in the wood un l the
head of the screw is level with the surface of the wood.
COACH SCREWS
step 1/ To prevent the wood spli ng we recommend pre-drilling all wood to be
screwed. Always drill at least 15 mm less deep than the length of the screw.
Pre-drill coach screws with a diameter of 8 mm with a 5 mm wood bore bit.
step 2/ Place the
fl
at washer and the bo om of the protec ve cap over the sha
of the screw.
step 3/ First turn the screw one or two millimetres into the beam to be secured,
then press this
fi
rmly against the other piece of wood.
step 4/ Tighten the screw with the torx bit TX40 supplied.
step 5/ Press the top of the protec ve cap into the opening provided.
BOLTED CONNECTIONS
step 1/ Drill a hole with diameter 10 mm through both planks or beams that have
already been screwed together (see ‘wood screws’)
step 2/ Hit the drive-in nut with a hammer along the designated side of the beam
in the hole.
step 3/ Place the spring ring, the
fl
at washer and then the bo om part of the
protec ve cap over the sha of the bolt.
step 4/ Push the bolt through the hole, and turn by hand several mes un l the
bolt turns smoothly in the press-in nut.
step 5/ Tighten the bolt with torx bit TX40 supplied, un l the spring ring is fully
fl
a ened between the head of the bolt and the
fl
at washer.
step 6/ Press the top of the protec ve cap into the opening provided.
