1. Using the vehicles jack handle tool,
remove the spare tire as per vehicles
owners manual.
2. Drop the exhaust by sliding the three
(3) hangers out of the rubber insulators.
There is one (1) on either side of the axle
and one (1) in back of the muffler.
Note: Using silicone spray on the hangers
eases removal from rubber insulators.

2016 Models:
Remove the four (4) bolts
from the ends of the heat shield and set
aside.
Older Models:
Remove the heat shield by
cutting between two (2) bed frame rails on
the underside of the bed above the axle
(as shown by the dotted lines).
