 Warning note

Danger of damaging the motor antenna
in a car wash

If you have installed a motor antenna, it will
remain extracted when turning off the radio
while the TIM timer is active.

The antenna may also come out inside the
car wash when the set is turned off and the
TIM timer active. This may cause serious
damage!

Please read the next chapter for more infor-
mation on how to interrupt the TIM standby
mode temporarily before driving into a car
wash.

Temporarily interrupting the TIM
standby mode

(before driving into a car wash)

Switch off the radio before driving into
the car wash.

If the display goes out immediately, the TIM
standby mode is inactive and the motor an-
tenna is pulled in.

You can now drive into the car wash.

However, if “TIM ON” briefly shows on the
display panel when turning off the set, the
TIM standby mode is active.

Press TIM.

The display briefly shows “STBY OFF”.

The antenna will be pulled in (please check)
and will not be extracted until the unit is
switched back on.
Now the TIM standby mode is temporarily
inactive.
You can drive into the car wash.

The standby function will be automatically
reactivated when switching the radio on
again. The motor antenna will then come
out.

Attention!
In order to prevent possible damage, do not
switch on the radio until you have left the
car wash!
