Machine Specific Safety Instructions

In addition to the general safety guidance supplied, the following instructions are specific to this machine and must also be 
adhered to.

 

•  The electricity supply the chain saw is connected to should be provided with an earth leakage or residual current of not more 

than 30Ma.

 

•  When working with the chain saw the following safety equipment is vital to protect you.

 

  -  Protective gloves

 

  -  Suitable footwear

 

  -  Leg protectors

 

  -  Safety Glasses

   -  Helmet 
 

  -  Ear Defenders

 

•  Do not operate the tool near people, especially children or pets. Turn it off if they get too close. Maintain a safe distance of at 

least 5m from other people when using the tool.

 

•  Keep all cooling air inlets clear of debris.

 

•  Never blow debris in the direction of bystanders.

 

•  Do not start the tool when it is upside down or when it is not in the operating position.

 

•  Do not allow the blower vacuum to pick up any burning or smoldering materials like ashes, cigarette butts etc.

 

•  Do not attempt to pick up breakable objects like glass, plastics, china etc.

 

•  Do not use in vacuum operation without the collection bag fitted

 

•  Do not use the blower vacuum in either the vacuum or the blower position on gravel surfaces.

General Maintenance

 

•  Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure the appliance is in safe working condition.

 

•  Check the appliance frequently for wear or deterioration.

 

•  Ensure worn or damaged parts are replaced by a competent person.

 

•  Use only Blaupunkt spare parts and accessories.

 

•  Disconnect from the mains before cleaning

 

•  When you have finished use, always check to make sure the product is clean and free of dirt and debris.

 

•  Clean machine with a damp cloth only – do not use solvents.
