DAB mode
With DAB, you can enjoy radio in digital audio quality.
In contrast with standard radio broadcasting, several programmes (services) are al-
ways broadcast over the same frequency for DAB. These services are combined into
a so-called ensemble. In some cases, the same service can be received in diff erent
ensembles.
Starting DAB mode
Note Series 945 (e.g. Cape Town 945):
For its operation, see the operating instructions of the car sound system, chapter
"DAB/DAB+".
General notes:
• If you switch on the car sound system for the fi rst time after connecting the
DAB+ Tuner Box 945, it may take a few minutes before the
DAB
button is
shown in the main menu.
• The ensemble list is created and stored during the initial startup of the DAB+
Tuner Box 945. As a result, all ensembles of your reception area are available
to you. If you leave your original reception area, update the ensemble list as
necessary (see the section "Refreshing services received").
• With connected DAB+ Tuner Box 945, the Settings menu of the car sound
system is called up with the

button at the bottom right of the display.
