Calling the sender or another telephone

If you would like to call whoever sent the
message,

press

 while the message is on dis-

play.

The telephone will automatically call the
corresponding number. If the message con-
tains a telephone number in “quotation
marks”, the call will be made to that number.
If there are several different telephone num-
bers in quotation marks, the call will be made
to the first one.

Sending SMS messages

Using this menu item you can send mes-
sages to other subscribers and set the cor-
responding parameters.

Press  /  to select “Send SMS mes-
sage” and press OK.

Press  /  to select the desired func-
tion and press OK.

“SMS parameters”

Press  /  to select the desired func-
tion and press OK.

“Valid”:
Here you can determine how long the
network operator should continue try-
ing to send the message. The default
setting is 1 day. Use the numbers keys
to select from 1 to 7.
After making your selection

press OK.

“Service no.”:
The message is sent to a service
number provided by the network oper-
ator and forwarded from there to the
recipient. Contact your network opera-
tor to receive the service number and
enter it here.

“New SMS message”

Press OK, “Enter text” will appear in
the display.
You can now enter a text of up to 160
characters. If necessary, please refer
to the section on “How to enter a
name/text”.

Press OK after you have entered
the text.

“Call number” will appear in the dis-

play.

Enter the recipient’s telephone
number and press OK.

“Store?” will appear in the display.

Press  /  to select “Send?”, “De-
lete?” or “Store?” and press OK.

The beginning of the message will ap-
pear In the first line of the display, the
telephone number of the recipient in
