Adjustment of the distance
between the eyepieces
The distance between the eyes is different
from person to person . In order to achieve
an optimum visual field, the distance be
-
tween the eyepieces must be set individ-
ually . For this purpose, the two halves of
the binoculars are pushed together or
extended around the centre axis until one
collective, circular image without shadows
is shown from the images of both lenses .
Adjustment of the eyecups
For setting the correct distance of the
eyes to the ocular lenses, the binoculars
of the Blaser Primus series feature eye-
cups .
Use without glasses
For the use without glasses, the eyecups
of both eyepieces are unscrewed to the
left (counter-clockwise). Three different
latching graduations provide the constant
adjustment of the correct distance from
the eyes to the eyepiece lenses .
Use with glasses
Wearers of glasses turn the eyecups of
both eyepiece lenses in up to the stop
(delivery condition) . This setting enables a
view across the entire field of vision with
-
out being “cut off” at the edge.
Adjustment of the binoculars
Adjustment of the focus
By turning the focusing wheel [3], every
object can be set from the minimum
focusing distance (approx. 2 m) to being
focused to infinity.
Dioptre compensation
Since the eyes of many people supply
various eyesight values, this difference
can be compensated for by means of the
dioptre adjustment ring [2] .
Adjustment for an identical vision on
both eyes
Turn the dioptre adjustment ring to zero
position .
Adjustment for varying visual acuity
between both eyes
When looking at a more distant object
(approx. 100 m) through the binoculars,
set the focus correctly for the left eye
using the focusing wheel [3], keeping
the right eye closed . Then set the correct
focus for the right eye using the dioptre
adjustment ring [2], keeping the left eye
closed .
DANGER:
Never look at the sun through the bin-
oculars, as doing so can cause serious
injuries to the eye .
Maintenance tips
Smudges on the lenses may impair the
sharpness of your Blaser binoculars . We
therefore recommend removing finger
prints, dust and other impurities of the
lens and eyepiece surfaces using a soft
hair pencil and/or the lens cloth supplied .
The housing of the binoculars can be
cleaned with a damp cloth . Please use
the optical cleaning cloth supplied exclu-
sively for cleaning the lenses .
