8.2.3 Menu ”Port forwarding”
When the modem dials in the mobile phone network the
LANIOS-RCL receives an IP address that is assigned by the
mobile service provider.
The port forwarding is needed if you want a
remote access
via mobile phone network to the modules of the local
network, which are connected to the LANIOS-RCL.
To enable this, mark the “
activate
“ checkbox. For an
additional access from the local SBL network to the mobile
phone network, the “
Internet access
“ checkbox must be
marked.
Type in the field “
Port
“ the port through which you want
a remote access. The port number must be in the range
between 1024 and 65535.
The following port addresses
must not
be used:
1194, 4224, 5000-5100, 8000
Enter in the field “
Dest.-IP
“ the address of the module in
the local network, which is to be accessed.
“
Dest.-Port
“ asks for the value of the standard TCP/ IP
port of the access mode (e.g. port 80 for HTTP access). Set
the respective ports per module (destination IP) for the
different types of access (e.g. HTTP, FTP, Telnet, ...) .
The “
Append
“ button adds the settings to the list, they can
be removed by pressing the “
X
“ button.
Assume by pressing the “
Send
“ button.
The figure shows an example for remote access. Here 8080
is assigned as destination port for the module in the local
network to access it via internet. Reach the local module by
calling the browser and enter its IP address
(LANIOS-RCL):port.
For example
:
if the IP address of the LANIOS-RCL (
»
chapter 8.1
) is
192.168.232.110, you reach the local module with the call
http://192.168.232.110:8080.
