When you receive your Silverback from us the Bracket
and Pins will already be installed on the Silverback Shell.
The Mounting Hardware will come separately.
To Install the Mounting Hardware to your wheelchair, follow the
steps below.
1. Unscrew the
Clamp Screws
and remove the
Clamp
from the
Base
of the
mounting hardware.
2. Take the
Rubber Grip
and wrap it around the back canes of your chair.
3. Place the
Base
on the
Rubber Grip
, make sure its on the inside of the
back canes with the pin lock at the top facing forward.
4. Place the
Clamp
on the
Rubber Grip
and line up the screw holes with the
ones on the
Base
and screw the
Clamp Screws
in tight.
5. To prevent rotation tighten the
Set Screw
to ensure the hardware will not
rotate while in use.
Mounting Hardware
If you are receiving replacement
hardware you will have to install
the Pins and Brackets, follow
the directions below.
1. Place the
Bracket
on the back of
the shell with the open end facing
away from the shell, place the
Stud Plate
through the front of the
shell and the center holes on the
Bracket
so that the nut tightens
on the back of the shell. Tighten
the nuts.
2. Place the top
Pin
in the hole
closest to you at the top of the
Bracket
and the bottom
Pin
in the
back hole closest to the shell at
the bottom of the
Bracket
.
To Install the Backrest onto the
Mounting Hardware.
1. Place the Bottom
Pins
in the
Pin Slots
.
2. Once they are both in click the top
Pins
into the
Pin Locks
at the top
of the
Mounting Hardware
. Back
2 picture shows proper installation.
3. When the back is securely in place
you can then adjust its tilt position
by loosening (do not completely
take them out) the three
Adjustment Screws.
Adjust the
back to your desired position and
screw the
Adjustment Screws
back in tightly.
4. Your back is now ready for years of
enjoyment!
