Charging Instructions

Charging

1.  Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
2.  Open the charging plug by rotating the safety
cover clockwise as shown by arrow in (Fig. 9)
3.  Locate the AC CHARGER and plug it into wall.
Insert the charger (the end with the prongs inside of it)
into the charging plug.

4. A red light (Charging Status Light) will come
on the charger indicating that charging is in
process. (Fig. 10)
5. The Charging Status Light will go from red, to
yellow, then to green during the charge process.
6. Remove charger and close the safety cap.
7. You are now ready to ride the XTR-Street II.

Note:

If the light turns green right away, this is

because the unit was charged at the factory.
Please continue charging for 6-8 hours prior to
initial use.

MULTI-FUNCTION LED

The XTR-Street II comes equipped with a multi-function LED that indicates charge
status while riding.  When the scooter is powered on and has a full charge (over 23V)
the LED light will be green. While riding the LED light will turn to yellow to indicate mid-
charge (21.5V and 23V). When the LED light turns red (under 21.5V) it is time to charge
your scooter.  If the LED light starts to blink red (under 19V) the scooter has gone into
deep discharge and it is recommended that you do not ride your scooter until you
recharge completely, as it may damage the batteries.

The LED also has other function to help you
troubleshoot some problems.

If you have the throttle lever depressed and you try

to turn on the scooter the led will blink red. This is to
keep the scooter from running away when you are not
ready.

The red led will also blink if there is a problem with your PC board.

If there is a problem in the motor the led will blink yellow. If the motor temperature

reaches 221° F the scooter will shut off and the led light will blink green. If that happens
let the motor cool before attempting to ride again.
