About the BlackBerry Smart Card Reader 

driver

The BlackBerry Smart Card Reader driver is preinstalled on 
the BlackBerry Smart Card Reader.

Install the BlackBerry Smart Card Reader 

driver on your BlackBerry device

1.

Close the BlackBerry Desktop Software if it is open.

2.

Download the .exe file for the BlackBerry Smart Card 
Reader software from www.blackberry.com/
products/accessories/smartcard.shtml.

3.

After the download is complete, double-click the file 
on your computer. 

4.

Complete the on-screen instructions.

5.

Connect your BlackBerry device to your computer.

6.

On the taskbar, click 

Start >

 

Programs > BlackBerry > 

Desktop > Desktop Manager.
