Te x t Messaging
Let y our thumbs do the talking. W ith the BlackBerr y 8820’ s full Q W ERT Y ke y board
sending and recei v ing email , SMS , and MMS messages is eas y and fast. A n SMS can
be sent to other mobile phones or w ireless de v ices w hile an MMS can be sent to
both mobile phones and email addresses.
To compose a te x t message
1 . F rom the Home screen , click on the Messages icon.
2 . Press the Menu ke y . Click Compose SMS Text .
3 . Select a name in the address book or click Use Once and add
the recipient ’ s phone number(s) and separate w ith a semicolon
if necessar y .
4 . Enter the message te x t.
5 . W hen y ou ’ re through t y ping , click the trackball and Send .
To respond to a te x t message
1 . Click on the Messages icon on the Home Screen.
2 . Using the trackball , scroll to and press the Text Message in y our messages list.
3 . Click the trackball and select Reply .
4 . T y pe y our message. Click the trackball , select Send .
