LET’S GET STARTED!
GETTING TO KNOW THE REVOLUTION 2X2.
Windows users: Install the Revolution 2X2 Windows ASIO driver. This
installer was designed to be easy to use. Simply
follow the onscreen instructions. You will be alerted
that the installer has successfully finished and it will
prompt you to reboot your computer. Click “Finish” to
automatically restart your computer
MacOS users: The Revolution 2X2 is a class-compliant Core Audio
device, so no installation is necessary. Simply
connect your Revolution 2X2 to your computer to
begin using it.
1.
Turn the Mixer knob on the front panel of your Revolution 2X2 to the
12 o’clock position. This will allow you to hear both your inputs and
the playback from the computer.

Connect a pair of headphones to the Revolution 2X2 headphone
output and turn the Phones volume control to the 12 o‘clock position.

Click on the “PERSON” Icon on the upper right hand corner.
3.
Click Sign up. Under New Customer, enter your email address,
create a serial number and click registration. Follow the product
registration process after you create your Black Lion user account.
4.
You will be prompted to provide the “Software Registration Code”.
This code can be found on the front cover of this manual!
5. After completing the product registration, an email will be sent to
you containing each software serial number and download instruc-
tions.
1. Connect a microphone then speak into it while watching the meter
on Channel 1 in Studio One and slowly turning the Revolution 2X2
Input 1 Trim knob clockwise.
2. Engage MONO button for input monitor summing.
3.
Click the “Record“ button in Studio One Artist to being recording
your first track!

Recording
1. Inputs
: XLR-Combo inputs for connecting microphones,
instruments, and line-level equipment.
2. Instrument Input Switch
: This selects between instrument level
and line level for the 1/4” input on the XLR-Combo.
3. Preamp Gain
: This knob attenuates the level of gain on the
preamplifier.
4. Input Meter
: This LED indicates the levels coming into the preamp.
5. 48V Button
: This button turns on 48V phantom power on both
preamplifiers.
6. Input Select:
Engaging this button switches to S/PDIF digital inputs.
7. Main Output Meter
: This meters the output level.
8. Monitor
: This attenuates the analog output level.
9. USB Status
: This LED indicates the status of USB connectivity.
10. Direct Mixer
: This knob is a direct mixer for monitoring inputs in
real-time. Turn left for inputs, and turn right for playback.
11. Headphone Volume
: This attenuates the headphone volume level.
12. Headphone Output
: Connect your headphones here.
13. Mono Button
: Engaging this switch performs mono summing to
direct input monitoring. For monitoring stereo inputs, make sure
this button is disengaged. This button only effects input monitor,
and not playback monitoring.
1. Main Output:
Connect your monitors here.
2. S/PDIF Input:
Connect S/PDIF digital outputs from devices here.
3. S/PDIF Output:
Use this to output the Revolution 2x2 main outputs
to another device.
4. USB-C Connector:
Connect your computer here, and you’re good
to go!
