HOW DOES A CAMALOT C 3 WORK?
When a weight or force (F) is applied to
the stem of a Camalot, friction between
the cams and the rock causes the cams
to rotate slightly and push against the
sides of the crack. As the force on the
stem of the Camalot increases, the
cams push harder against the rock. The
high contact force between the cams
and the rock develops tremendous
holding strength and keeps the Camalot
from being pulled out of the crack.
