Always choose a safe location for the kettle, keeping in mind the safety precautions
outlined. Ensure all packaging has been removed from the unit before use. This appliance
requires no installation.
WARNING:
TOO LITTLE WATER MAY DAMAGE THE HEATING
ELEMENT AND OVERFILLING MAY CAUSE THE BOILING WATER TO BE
EJECTED.
Place the unit on a dry, level and heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the work surface.
Ensure that the cord has been fully unwound and does not overhang the work surface as this is a
hazard. Do not use the unit on the floor.
For first time use, it is recommended that you fill the kettle to the maximum level mark with fresh
tap water, then boil and empty. Repeat this process at least two times to clear the kettle of any
dust or materials from the manufacturing process. Do not drink this water.
1. Remove the kettle from the base to fill it. Press the lid release button to open the lid. Pour
water into the kettle to the desired level (no less than MINIMUM and no more than
MAXIMUM), close the lid back and place the kettle back on the base unit.
2. Connect the plug into a power outlet, turn the kettle on by pressing the On/Off switch. Ensure
the kettle is positioned so the spout is facing away from you
3. The kettle will automatically switch itself off once the water has boiled and the red power light
goes off.
4. Lift the kettle from the base and pour the water into a container or cup
5. The boiling process can be terminated at any time by lifting the kettle off the power base.
