3. Is your cable routed too close to any sources of
electrical interference, such as motors, generators,
compressors, elevators, or fluorescent lights? If so,
reroute it.
4. Is the 4-wire cable high quality? If not, try
swapping in a better one.
5. You might be having AC-power trouble. Try
plugging the SHM-B Sync standalone unit or the
card’s chassis into a different outlet or a different
power circuit entirely. If that doesn’t work, try
installing a surge protector or uninterruptible
power supply. (Call Black Box Technical Support
for help in selecting the proper power protection
for your application.)
