Keyboard-Command Summary
Here is a brief list of the keyboard commands you can use to control your
ServSwitch™ Brand CAT5 KVM Extender. For detailed descriptions of the
commands and the effects they have on the system (including their effects on the
keyboard LEDs), refer to your Extender system’s user manual.
Single-Access KVM or KVM/Serial Extender Local linked to a Remote
other than a Switching Remote Unit
Function:
Keyboard command/activity:
Take control of CPU
Press any key on keyboard or (if Remote is a
Micro model or has been set for this—see
Section 3.3.1
) move mouse.
Reset keyboard and mouse
Press and release [Scroll Lock] once.
Send null byte to mouse
Press and hold left and right mouse buttons, then
press and release [Scroll Lock] once.
Dual-Access KVM or KVM/Serial Extender Local linked to a Remote
other than a Switching Remote Unit
Function:
Keyboard command/activity:
Take control of CPU
Press any key on keyboard or (if Remote is a

) move mouse.
Reset keyboard and mouse
Press and release [Scroll Lock]
