Cleaning the motor filter
The motor filter prevents particles and larger objects from entering the motor
housing. The filter is re-usable and should be cleaned regularly.
Open the cover (20). Remove the dust bag (21) from the appliance. Empty the
container (24-25). Slide the filter cover up and out of the appliance. Clean the filter.
Replace the filter, and close the cover.
Warning!
Do not use a brush or compressed air to clean the filter.
Replacing the HEPA filter
To change the HEPA filter, press the latch (16) and open the
dust-bag compartment.
Fig. 28: Pull the HEPA filter from its location & replace it with a new
one. Close the dust-bag compartment. The HEPA filter should be
replaced every 6 to 9 months or if worn or damaged.
Helpful Hints
• Do not immerse the appliance, cord set or plug in liquids
• Do not block the vents at the back of the unit
• Always keep the brush, crevice tool and other accessories away from the body
while the unit is in operation
• Use extra care when cleaning stairs. Always start at the bottom stair & work up.
• Use caution when vacuuming at top of stairs, near children, etc.
• Always be aware of the position of the power cable and hose so as to avoid a
tripping hazard during use
• Do not use this appliance on animals
• Disconnect the product from the electrical supply before emptying, cleaning or
carrying out any maintenance on the appliance
