•
When the oven is in use, the interior lights will cycle on and off.
This is
normal because this oven cooks with infrared light instead of cooking with
temperature.
• The times preprogrammed into the oven are suggested cooking times. When
cooking for the first time, begin checking the doneness of foods several minutes
before the end of the programmed cooking time.
• If food is browning too quickly use a loose covering of aluminum foil to slow
down the browning. Make sure the foil does not touch the heating elements.
• In addition to the cooking charts included in the Use & Care, you may also
use the included recipes as a guide for making delicious meals with your new
InfraWave® Oven
.
• Once a selection has been made and cooking has begun, the time can be
changed at anytime during the cooking cycle by pressing the
and
buttons.
• Some foods can be prepared using several different cooking methods, such as
HORNEAR (BAKE), ASAR (BROIL) or PROGRAMAR (CONVERT). Choose the
method that best suits your needs.
• There are many foods preprogrammed into the oven, but you may find that
some of your favorites are missing. If so, we suggest you use a similar food or
use the PROGRAMAR (ConvertMenu™) method.
• The oven will beep when a cooking cycle is complete.
• When broiling, the oven will signal halfway through the
cooking cycle to remind you to turn the food. If the broil
time is adjusted during the broil cycle, the oven will
generate a new audible signal halfway through the new
time. Once the food has been turned, remember to press
the INICIAR (START) button to continue cooking
(I)
.
ABOUT USING THE ROTISSERIE
• When using the rotisserie, do not to use the bake
pan/drip pan as a drip tray, as this oven comes with a
removable plastic drip tray. For maximum cooking space,
the slide rack must be removed
(J)
.
• Place prong on rod nearest the square end, with prongs
facing away from the square end; tighten in place

• Insert rod into food to be cooked, sliding prongs into
food. Slide second prong onto the rod with prongs facing
the food, inserting the pointed ends into the food
(L)
.
Tighten the screw.
• Insert the side of the rotisserie rod that is marked with an
“R” into the hole in the center of the right wall of the oven. Rest the left side of
the rod on the hook on the left wall of the oven.
• When using the rotisserie, it is suggested that foods initially be placed into a
cold oven. Use the GIRAR SOLAMENTE (TURN ONLY) setting in the A LA
BRASA (ROTISSERIE) program to make sure the food is balanced evenly on the
rod and turning smoothly. Then program the oven for the desired cooking cycle.
• When cooking on the rotisserie, dry rubs can be added to food before cooking.
• When using marinades or sauces, brush foods during last 20 minutes of cooking
only, to avoid over-browning.
• To remove cooked foods from the rotisserie, use the
rotisserie removal tool
(M)
.
• Allow foods cooked on the rotisserie to cool for several
minutes before removing prongs
(N).
CHOOSING THE COOKING CONTAINERS FOR YOUR INFRAWAVE® OVEN
• When purchasing baking containers, keep in mind that they must fit in a space
6¼ inches high by 12¾ inches wide by 12¼ inches deep.
• Metal, ovenproof glass and ceramic bakeware, without lids, can be used in your
oven. Be aware, some of these containers may increase cooking time by several
minutes.
• Cooking performance may be improved by using a clear glass baking dish.
• If covering is needed during cooking, use aluminum foil.
Note
: Be sure the edges of the cooking container and the food being cooked are at
least 1 inch away from the upper heating elements.
• Some frozen foods and refrigerated foods are packaged in containers suitable
for the microwave or conventional oven;
these should NOT be used in the
InfraWave® oven.
If there are any questions regarding the use of a specific
cooking container, contact the manufacturer or change food to an
InfraWave®
safe container.
