Check that the supply voltage shown on the
rating plate of the appliance matches that of
your electrical system. Any connection error
will invalidate the guarantee.
Assembly
This appliance is supplied fully assembled &
only requires parts to be cleaned before use.
See “Cleaning” for details.
1.
Place the jug (3) onto the motor base (4).
2.
Place the pulp strainer (2) onto the jug.
3.
Place the reamer (1) over the spindle of the
motor base (4).
Use
Prepare the fruit by rolling it gently between the
hands for a moment or two then cut it in half.
Assemble the appliance.
Connect the appliance to a suitable electrical
supply.
Press the cut face of the fruit onto the reamer.
Pressing on the reamer will start the motor in
the base. The reamer will rotate, cutting into
the fruit and the juice will flow into the jug.
Note
: Ensure fingers & hands do not touch the
reamer during operation. Never allow loose
clothing, jewelery, hair, etc. to come in contact
with moving parts.
The juicer will automatically stop once you stop
applying downward pressure on the reamer (1)
with the fruit.
Once juicing is completed, the jug (3) can be
removed & used to serve the juice.
The appliance should be disconnected
from the mains supply before removing
the jug.
The juicer should be pulsed in 15 second bursts.
After 10 consecutive cycles of 15 seconds on
followed by 15 seconds off, the Juicer should be
allowed to cool completely for 30 minutes before
further use.
Useful advice
Choose fresh, ripe fruit as they will yield more
juice.
Drink the juice immediately after you have
extracted it. If it is exposed to air for some time,
the juice will lose its taste and nutritional value.
Maintenance & cleaning
The appliance is easier to clean if you do so
immediately after use.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, scourers,
acetone, alcohol etc. to clean the appliance.
All detachable plastic parts should be washed
in warm soapy water.
Clean the motor unit with a damp cloth.
Never immerse the motor unit in water nor
rinse it under the tap.
Mains plug replacement
If a new mains plug needs to be fitted:
Safely dispose of the old plug
Connect the brown lead to the live terminal of
the new plug
Connect the blue lead to the neutral terminal
If the product is class I (earthed), connect the
green/yellow lead to the earth terminal.
Note:
If your product is class II double insulated
(only 2 wires in the cord set), no connection is to
be made to the earth terminal.
Follow the fitting instructions supplied with good
quality plugs
Any replacement fuse must be of the same rating
as the original fuse supplied with the product.
