Short circuit.
A reverse polarity or short circuit
condition may cause external or internal fuses to open
and may cause irreversible damage to the appliance.
Take extra care to insure a correct polarity connection.
Overload.
The power inverter will automatically shut
down when the continuous load exceeds 800 watts.
When the overload is removed, reset the appliance by
turning it off and then on again.
Over temperature.
If the temperature inside the
appliance is too high, the appliance will automatically
shut down. Allow the appliance to cool for at least
15 minutes before restarting after a heat-related
shutdown. Unplug the appliance while cooling.
HINTS FOR OPTIMUM USE
For best operating results, the inverter should be
placed on a flat and/or solid surface. The inverter
should only be used in locations that meet the
following criteria:
DRY –
Do not allow water or other liquids to come
into contact with the inverter.
COOL –
The surrounding air temperature should be
between 5°C and 40°C. Keep the inverter away from
direct sunlight, when possible.
WELL VENTILATED –
Keep the area surrounding
the inverter clear to ensure free air circulation. Do not
place items on or over the inverter during operation.
The inverter will shut down if the internal temperature
gets too hot. Refer to the Protective features section of
this instruction manual for more information.
SAFE –
Do not use the inverter near flammable
materials or in any location that may accumulate
flammable fumes or gases. This is an electrical
appliance that can briefly spark when electrical
connections are made or broken.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Common Audio/Visual Problems
Buzzing Sound In
Audio Systems
Some inexpensive stereo
systems make a buzzing
sound when operated from
an inverter because the
power supply in the electronic
device does not properly filter
the modified sine wave. The
only solution to this problem
is to use a sound system that
has a higher quality power
supply.
Television
Interference
The inverter is shielded to
minimize interference with
television signals. However, in
some instances, interference
may still occur, particularly
where television signals
are weak. Try the following
corrective measures:
•
Place the inverter as far as
possible from the television,
the aerial or cables. Use
an extension cable, if
necessary.
•
Readjust the orientation of
the inverter, the aerial or
cables and the television
power cord to minimize
interference.
•
Make sure the aerial or
cable feeding the television
provides an adequate
(“snow free”) signal and
that high quality, shielded
aerial or cable is used.
•
Do not use the inverter
to operate high-power
appliances or tools at the
same time you are using it
to operate the television.
Common Power Output Problems
Input voltage
below 10,5 volts
Recharge auto battery or
check dc power supply.
Equipment being
operated draws
too much power
Reduce load to maximum
800 watts.
Common Power Output Problems
Inverter in
thermal shutdown
condition
Allow inverter to cool down.
Ensure there is adequate
ventilation around the unit
and that the load is no
more than 800 watts for
continuous operation.
AC output is
shorted
Unplug the ac appliance. Turn
off the inverter. Disconnect
the unit from any 12 volt
dc power source. Check the
appliance cord.
MAINTENANCE
From time to time wipe the outside casing of the
inverter with a damp cloth. Do not use any abrasive
or solvent-based cleaner. Do not immerse the inverter
in water.
Warning!
Before performing any maintenance or
cleaning on the inverter, disconnect it from any power
source.
PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
Correct disposal of this product
This marking indicates that this product
should not be disposed with other
household waste throughout the EU. To
prevent possible harm to the environment
or human health from uncontrolled
waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the
sustainable reuse of material resources. To return
your used device, please use the return and collection
systems or contact the retailer where the product
was purchased. They can take this product for
environmentally safe recycling.
Separate collection of used products and packaging
allows materials to be recycled and used again.
Re-use of recycled materials helps prevent
environmental pollution and reduces the
demand for raw materials.
Local regulations may provide for separate collection
of electrical products from the household, at municipal
waste sites or by the retailer when you purchase a
new product.
