transmit power levels
The Transmit Power Levels adjustment sets the radio’s RF output when high, medium or low power is
selected during radio operation.
To adjust the output power levels connect the antenna to a calibrated power meter.
High Power
Click “High Power” and use the slide bar to adjust the transmit power to the indicated output 1.
Click “Done” to write the High Power setting 2.
Medium Power
Click “Med Power” and use the slide bar to adjust the transmit power to the indicated output 1.
Click “Done” to write the Medium Power setting 2.
Low Power
Click “Low Power” and use the slide bar to adjust the transmit power to the indicated output 1.
Click “Done” to write the Low Power setting 2.
fm modulation
The FM Modulation adjustment is a multi-step process. Once the process is started, DO NOT
DISCONNECT the radio without first clicking “Abort”.
Click “Start” 1.
Use the slide bar to adjust the FM modulation to 3.0 kHz 2.
Click the “Next” button 3.
Repeat the process for all four frequencies. 4.
Clicking “Next” on the last frequency setting will write the information to the radio.
Clicking “Abort” any time during the process will not write any settings.

Click “Start”
Tune the RF Generator to the displayed frequency with an amplitude of approximately -75dBm, with a
1 kHz audio tone at 3.0kHz deviation.
1. Select “Varactor 1”
2. Use the slide bar to adjust for the maximum RSSI
3. Repeat for all four varactors
4. Press “Next”
5. Repeat steps 1-4 for all four frequencies.
Clicking “Next” on the last frequency setting will write the information to the radio.
Clicking “Abort” any time during the process will not write any settings.
Squelch adjustment
The Squelch Adjustment sets the radio’s preset squelch level. The radio user can adjust the squelch
manually if “Squelch Adjust” is assigned to a radio button or menu item. (See “Installation and
Programming section of this manual.)
Connect an RF Generator tuned to the frequency indicated in the program at -47 dBm
