Figure 2 - -30 VDC mean(-)

10.

If you adjusted according to the above, you should be able to calculate the mean(+) – mean(-)
value to be 60 V (30 – (-30) = 60).

11.

Once finished, turn the CH1 volt/div knob to set to 5.00 V scale.  Keep timebase at 2.50 us.
Repeat steps 6-10, except with 15 V signal from the calibrator, adjust mean(+) to 15.00V and
mean (-) to –15.00 V to calculate the difference equal to 30 V.

12.

Again, when finished repeat step 11 for each and all other vertical scale ranges accordingly listed
below with their corresponding settings:

Once adjustments have been made for ALL of the vertical scale ranges, press the “SAVE” soft
button from the menu and all the adjustments will be stored into the instrument.

14.

Now, repeat steps 1-13 for CH2 for re-adjustment.

15.

After both channels are re-adjusted, the instrument needs to do a self calibration prior to use.  To
do this, press UTILITY and go to Page 2/4 and select “Do Self Cal”.  With nothing connected at
all the inputs (This is very important as it will affect calibration and all re-adjustments made prior
in above steps), press SINGLE button to begin self calibration.  This process can take up to a few
minutes.

Note:

-

Be sure to save before exiting calibration menu.

-

Any key press not mentioned in the above instructions will exit the calibration menu without
saving any changes.  Keep this in mind while making adjustments for each scale.
