Battery

 CAUTION:

•  To prevent product malfunction, always insert the

battery using the correct orientation.

•  Do not short circuit the battery.
•  Misuse or abuse of the battery may result in leakage,

burns, fire or explosion/disassembly resulting in

personal injury or damage to other devices.

•  Eye contact with battery contents may cause severe

irritation. If the battery is leaking and material

contacts the eye, flush thoroughly with copious

amounts of running water for 15 minutes. Seek
immediate medical attention.

•  Skin contact with battery contents may cause

irritation. If battery is leaking and material contacts
the skin, remove any contaminated clothing and

flush the exposed area with copious amounts of

running water. If irritation, injury or pain persists,
seek medical attention.

•  Inhalation of vapors or fumes released from multiple

leaking batteries may cause respiratory and eye
irritation. A high concentration of fumes or vapor
may cause central nervous system effects including
headache, dizziness and nausea.

•  Do not swallow batteries. Irritation to the internal/

external mouth area, may occur following exposure
to a leaking battery. If battery is leaking, contents
may be irritating to respiratory passages. Move to
fresh air. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.

•

In case of fire, use dry chemical, alcohol foam,

water or carbon dioxide as appropriate to extinguish

a fire. In the initial stage of a fire, carbon dioxide

extinguishers are typically more effective than water.

Firefighters should wear positive pressure self-

contained breathing apparatus and full protective

clothing. Fight fire from a distance or protected
area. Batteries exposed to fire must be cooled to

prevent rupture. Use extreme caution when handling

batteries that have been exposed to fire as they may

explode or rupture.
