What happens if there is a power cut?
Your Implanted Cardiac Device will not be affected in the event of a power cut. The CardioMessenger
and your Implanted Cardiac Device work independently. The CardioMessenger has a backup battery
and is only a transmitter for your Implantable device.
There is no ‘OK’ signal on the CardioMessenger screen?
This is not an emergency and does not mean there is an issue with your device. The ‘OK’ symbol
indicates the CardioMessenger has cellular signal and can transmit data.
Please follow the below to troubleshoot this issue.
1. Ensure there is adequate mobile phone coverage in the area.
2. Please check the power supply and try another power socket.
3. If you have an older charger, the universal adapter in the plug can come loose as shown in
Figure 1 in the blue box. Remove the plug from the power socket and press hard on the top
section of the plug to reconnect this adapter so it looks like Figure 2. Plug it back into the power,
if successful, you will observe a charging icon on the right of the CardioMessenger screen.
