CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Humidifiers provide comfort by adding moisture to

dry, heated indoor air. To get the most benefit from

the humidifier and to avoid product misuse, follow all

instructions carefully, specifically the operation, care

and maintenance guidelines. Please note this is an

electrical appliance and requires attention when in

use.

Cleaning your humidifier every one or two weeks,

depending on the water conditions is important

in order to maintain efficient, healthy, odour-free

operation. Water quality varies widely and, combined

with build-up of mineral scale in your humidifier, may

under certain conditions promote the growth of micro-

organisms in the water tank.

Before cleaning, please note the following:

•

Never immerse any part of the appliance or power

cord and plug in water or any other liquid.

•

DO NOT use soap, detergents, abrasives, gasoline,

glass or furniture polish, or boiling water to clean

any part of your humidifier. These will interfere with

the proper operation of your unit and may affect its

appearance.

•

DO NOT use sharp or metal objects to clean

mineral deposits in the reservoir. Contact with sharp

objects can result in damage to the plastic.

•

Mineral deposits should be soaked for up to 20

minutes in plain vinegar and water to help with their

removal.

•

DO NOT clean any part of your humidifier in the

dishwasher.

from the electrical outlet.

2.   Remove the lid and lift the water tank out of you

remove any sediment or dirt. Wipe clean and dry

with a clean cloth or paper towel.

4.   Refill the tank as described in the section

the Water Tank

. Do not over fill.

The Auto mode sets your humidifier to operate at

a preset level of 55%. Press the Auto button (Q) to

select the auto mode. Press the Auto button again to

exit auto mode.

WARM MIST

The Warm mist button (P) changes the mist

temperature from cool to warm.

: It can take

approximately 30 minutes for the mist to change

temperature. The Warm Mist button will not function if

the unit is not producing mist.

TIMER

The timer allows your humidifer to operate for four

pre-set times: 2, 4, 8 or 12 hours. Each press of the

Timer button (U) will select 2, 4, 8 or 12 hours. When

the timer is in operation, the LCD display will show

the clock icon and the time period selected (N).

NIGHT LIGHT

The night light (I) can be switched on or off using the

Night light button (T).

AUTO SAFETY SHUT OFF

Your humidifier has a built in safety device When

the water level in the water tank is low, the unit will

beep several times and the Water tank low icon (M)

will show. Refill the tank as described in the section

Filling the Water Tank

. Do not overfill. The unit will

enter standby mode after 1 minute if the water tank is

not refilled.

WATER FILTER MAINTENANCE

The water filter is used to remove any minerals from

the mist. The filter life is determined by the average

daily use of your humidifier and the water hardness

in your area. The harder the water, the greater the

amount of minerals in the water and the more often

you will need to replace the filter. It is strongly recom

-

mended that the filter is replaced every 2 months,

(depending on use), or when white dust is emitted

from your humidifier.

1.   Switch off your humidifier and disconnect it from

the mains supply socket. Remove the lid (B) and

lift out the water tank (C).

2.   Turn the water tank upside down and unscrew

the filter/tank cap (Fig. 2). Unscrew the filter (E,

Fig. 3) from the tank cap (F, Fig. 3) and dispose

of the old filter in accordance with your local

regulations.
