IMPORTANT SAFETY

MEASURES

!

Make sure that the water level is between
the minimum and maximum level before turn-
ing the kettle on. Do not overfill the kettle;
otherwise it can overflow while boiling. Please,
remember that the minimum water level should
be higher than the minimum allowed level.

!

Do not touch the hot surfaces of the appliance.

Do not touch the outer surfaces of the kettle with the excep-
tion of the heat insulated handle, when water is boiling or with
hot water inside the device.

!

Allow kettle to cool prior to cleaning and storing.

!

Disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply before
storage, filling it with water/emptying it or moving it from one
place to another.

!

The appliance should always be placed on and used on a heat
resistant, horizontal and dry surface.

!

To avoid being burnt by hot vapor always close the lid tightly
before use. Avoid exposure to hot vapor.

WARNING! Never

open the lid immediately before or after boiling tem-
perature is reached

.

!

The kettle is protected against overheating and if switched on
without water, an automatic safety cut out device will switch it
off. If the safety device is activated, allow the kettle to cool
down prior to boiling water in it. The kettle will not switch on if
it’s too hot.

WARNING! Frequent switching the kettle

on without water might result in the safety device
failure, that is why prior to switching the kettle on
always check the water level. Always make sure the
water level in the kettle is not too low.

!

Always switch the kettle off prior to lifting it from the base.

!

Use the kettle only with the supplied base.

!

Do not fill a hot kettle with cold water or vice versa.

WARN-

ING! Avoid sharp temperature fluctuations when fill-
ing the kettle with water.

!

Connect the device only to an electrical supply with a protective
earthing. If your socket has no protective earthing, contact a
qualified specialist. Do not modify the plug and do not use cord
adapters.

WARNING! Electric shocks might occur if the

kettle is plugged into an unearthed power supply.

!

Clean the heating element of the kettle often to de-scale it.
Remember that use of a heavily scaled kettle might result in its
malfunction.

WARNING! De-scale the kettle using only

specially designed cleaning agents.

!

Before turning the kettle on, make sure that the lid is closed;
otherwise the kettle will not turn off after boiling.

!

After use of the appliance, the base of the kettle might be wet.
It is a normal condition of operation, caused by escaping steam,
used to activate the kettle’s automatic turning off function.

!

Do not tilt the filled kettle backwards, since water can spill
through the steam vent. If this happens, the kettle should be
wiped before turning it on.
