1.9.4 Conveyor belt

The conveyor belts can be the following types:

✔

the flat, full belt type;

✔

the flat, separate belt type;

✔

the slanting 'V' type for round or irregular products.

1.9.5 Roller conveyor

The roller conveyors can be the following types:

✔

the gravity type;

✔

the motor driven type.

1.9.6 Strap conveyor

Multiple strap (or belt) conveyors can also be used during the weighing
stage. They can be formed by two or more parallel straps guided by
driven pulleys.
The stages forming the system always have the following function,
regardless of the type of conveyor, which is supplied to suit the type of
product conveyed and weighed.

1.9.7 Entry (or loading) conveyor

This is the first stage in the product advancement direction. Its function
is to receive the products coming from either a conveyor or feeding
system of the manual type. The speed of this stage is always lower than
that of the following ones to enable the products to be separated. This
stage can also be omitted if the prior feeding systems guarantees that
the products are separated by at least 40 mm.
