5. Replace the O-rings if they are damaged or not sealing properly to avoid lubricant
leaking.
6. Note sealant placement on inspection cover. Remove old sealant from primary opening
and inspection cover.
7. Install new inspection cover O-rings. Apply new sealant, part number 270-000005-00,
to O-rings and inspection cover.

LUBRICANT
Primary lubricant should be
changed initially at 500 miles and every 5,000
miles thereafter. The drain plug is located under
the clutch, on the underside of the primary. The
filler access is the tensioner inspection cover. To
change the primary lubricant and to determine
correct lubrication level in the primary, turn the
engine off and proceed as follows:
NOTE: Replace O-rings and sealant each time primary lubricant is changed or inspected.
