HSK Holder Mounting and Removal
Usage Precautions
• Referring to the Tool Presetter User's Manuals (STP Futura, STP Magis, STP Essentia, TPS), attach the HSK Front Clamp Adapter to the
presetter body.
Perform X-axis and Z-axis origin presetting with reference edge and ØD dimension as reference.
• If you are using STP Futura, STP Magis, or STP Essentia, register the adapter on the presetter itself.

HSK Holder removal
(1) Loosen the LOCK and OPEN screws counterclockwise, until
they both protrude about 5 to 6 mm from the outer diameter.

(2) Insert the HSK Holder into the adapter. When inserting, be
careful not to get your fingers caught in the flange face.
Tighten the LOCK screw clockwise until the adapter and HSK
Holder flange faces are in close contact. (Fig. 2)
(3) After tightening, loosen the LOCK screw one turn to the
counterclockwise direction. (Fig. 3)
(1) Loosen the LOCK screw counterclockwise, until it protrudes about 5 to 6 mm from the outer diameter. (Fig. 4)
(2) Tighten the OPEN screw clockwise with a wrench. The taper catch will be released, and the adapter and HSK Holder flange
faces will separate by about 1 mm. (Fig. 5)
(3) Remove the HSK Holder.

• This adapter is a product intended for tool presetting. Never use it for any other purpose (actual machining, etc.).
• Never use this adapter for tightening or loosening procedure for collet chucks, etc.
• Never remove the OPEN or LOCK screws, as the clamp mechanism may fail to function properly.
OPERATION MANUAL
Caution
Remove any oil or foreign matter on the HSK Holder and
adapter flange faces and taper parts. Adhered foreign matter
will affect measurement accuracy. It may also damage the
adapter or HSK Holder.
Caution
With the LOCK screw fully tightened, the lateral tightening
force may cause unstable accuracy.
• Please read these instructions before use and keep them where the operator may
refer to them whenever necessary.
• We certify this product has passed our rigorous inspections of quality and accuracy.
