2. Select the time by pressing the
keys.
3. Begin the exercise and the time will
start to count down.
If you stop exercising the countdown
will also stop, being stored in the
memory until the monitor’s three
minute waiting period has elapsed.
When the countdown reaches zero it
will beep for 8 seconds to indicate that
the selected time has been completed.
The time will now start to count
upwards.
C. DISTANCE FUNCTION
This function counts up or down in
steps of 0.5 km/m, up to a maximum
of 99.50 km/m. Pressing the MODE
key for more than two seconds will
reset all of the values, except those
relating to the time and date.
1. Press the MODE key until the
exercise characters appear on the
display. Select the small DIST
(Distance) window so that it flashes.
2. Select the distance by pressing the
keys.
3. Begin the exercise and the distance
will start to count down. If you stop
exercising the countdown will also
stop, being stored in the memory until
the monitor’s three minute waiting
period has elapsed. When the
countdown reaches zero it will beep
for 8 seconds to indicate that the
selected distance has been
completed. The distance will now start
to count upwards.
D. CALORIE FUNCTION
This function counts up or down in
steps of one calorie, up to a maximum
of 9990 calories. Pressing the MODE
key for more than two seconds will
reset all of the values, except those
relating to the time and date.
1. Press the MODE key until the
exercise characters appear on the
display. Select the
small CAL
(Calories) window so that it flashes.
2. Select the calories by pressing the
keys.
3. Begin the exercise and the calories
will start to count down. If you stop
exercising the countdown will also
stop, being stored in the memory until
the monitor’s three minute waiting
period has elapsed. When the
countdown reaches zero it will beep
for 8 seconds to indicate that the
selected value has been completed.
The calories will now start to count
upwards.
When the programmed calories have
finished, the monitor will beep for 8
seconds and begin to increase the
calories automatically.
E. PULSE FUNCTION
The pulse function shows the heart
beats per minute (BPM). To use this
function place your hands on the
handlebar sensors (R), Fig. 2, and
your heart rate will be displayed after
a few seconds.
NOTE: This is not a medical
appliance so values are for
guideline purposes only.
To select the THR (Target Heart Rate)
carry out the following steps:
1. Press the MODE key until the
exercise characters appear on the
display. Select the small Pulse window
so that it flashes and THR will appear.
2. Press the
keys to set the pulse
rate value that you wish to use during
the exercise, (between 30 and 240
BPM), the monitor’s default value is 30
BPM.
