INTENDED USE
This tool set serves for the cutting of oil drain plug sealing surfaces on oil sumps. The tools included
are suitable for oil drain plug threads M12x1.5, M13x1.5, M14x1.5, M15x1.5, M16x1.5 and M17x1.5.
SAFETY INFORMATION
•
Use the tools contained exclusively for the work specified under "Intended purpose".
•
Use the tools only by hand. Never use an air impact wrench or other machines.
•
Keep children and other unauthorised persons away from the work area.
•
Do not let any children play with the tool or its packaging.
USE
1. Remove the oil drain plug and drain the oil in the oil sump.
2. Place the matching guide bolt into the oil drain thread (Fig. 1 & 2).
When inserting the guide bolt, take care that the thread is inserted over the entire length in the
thread of the oil sump and does not protrude. Caution: if the guide bolt is screwed in too far, it
may fall into the oil sump!
3. Take the milling cutter and push it over the guide bolt (Fig. 3 & 4)
4. Turn the milling cutter clockwise by applying slight pressure
until the sealing surface is flat again (Fig. 5).
5. Remove any chips that may be on the sealing surface.
6. Remove the milling cutter and disassemble the guide bolt.
7. Insert a new oil drain plug with new seal into the thread (Fig. 6).
