The loudspeaker consists
of an MDF enclosure, which houses the mid-bass
drivers and crossover components. An aluminum tower containing a modified
RD50 planar ribbon driver is attached to complete the speaker system.
Both the enclosure and base have a durable black coating. The planar driver
is finished with a black fabric grille and black anodized tower.
The crossover network divides frequencies between the mid-bass and planar
drivers at 350 Hz. The crossover is equipped for bi-wiring and is shipped with
removable shorting straps across the high and low frequency inputs.
The Radia 520i is easy to drive with any high-quality amplifier or receiver.
It also features ample power handling and can be used in large-sized rooms
for either music or home theater applications. Though the 520i can be used
full-range, a high-quality subwoofer, such as the Radia 210i, is strongly
recommended for optimum low-frequency extension as well as additional
power handling.
