Select the antennas connected to the Quinta RS control unit in the “Select
Antenna” window and click the “Next” button.

been selected in the “Select Antenna” window.
Select the appropriate cable and click the “Next” button.

Turn on the Quinta RS control unit with the On/Off switch

When you turn on the Quinta RS control unit for the
first
time, it is set to the
RF band of 2.4 GHz which has been selected at the factory. The proper
operation in the 5.2 or 5.8 GHz band depends on the local conditions and the
selected antennas which must be selected via the Quinta Software.
Please proceed as described in the following:
– Install the Quinta PC-Software (enclosed CD-ROM),
if necessary, install the USB driver as well.
– Connect the Quinta RS control unit to the PC (RS 232, USB,
Ethernet).
– Start the Quinta Software.
– Select the set connection in the “Connection” area and click “Connect”.

When the Quinta RS control unit is turned on for the first time, the settings
dialogue box for the region and antennas is displayed immediately after
connecting. If not, open the “System Info” window via the black dot menu.
You must use the Quinta Software to enter the following details:
– Region
– Antenna*
– Antenna cable*
* not for USA/Canada, Japan, India

Click the “Change Antenna Settings” button.

Select the region where you are using the control unit in the “Select Region”
window and click the “Next” button.
Important:
A wrong selection in the “Select Region” window can lead to an
illegal operation of the system!

USA/Canada
or
Japan
although the Quinta system is
not
in this region,
you
cannot
reset this entry. In this case you must return the unit to
beyerdynamic.
Open the “System Info” window and
select “Change Antenna Settings”.
Select the region and then click
“Next”.
Select the antenna and then click
“Next”.
Select the cable and then click
“Next”.
Confirm the entries or restart the
process.
