4. Initial use
The BS 99 mirror can either be operated by battery or by mains operation
using the mains plug included in delivery.
4.1. Power supply unit
• Remove the packaging.
• Check the device, power supply and cables for damage.
• Connect the device to the mains power. The device must be switched off at this time.
• Route the cable safely so that there is no risk of anyone tripping over it.
4.2 Inserting the batteries
In order to use the cosmetics mirror, you first need to insert the supplied batteries. To insert the batteries, follow
the steps below:
1. Remove the battery compartment lid on the rear of the device.
2. Insert the three supplied 1.5V AA (alkaline type LR6) batteries. Make sure
that the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity, according to the la
bel. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
3. Close the battery compartment lid carefully.
4.3 Operation
• The light can be switched on or off using the on/off switch located on the rear of the mirror.
• The light intensity can be adjusted by pressing the on/off switch again. There are three light intensity levels to
choose from.
The light switches off automatically after 10 minutes.
5. Care and storage
WARNING
• Disconnect the device before cleaning it.
• Only clean the appliance in the manner specified. Fluid must never be allowed to enter into the device or
accessories.
• Do not use the device again until it is completely dry.
• Do not clean the device in the dishwasher.
• Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or hard brushes.
First unplug the device and allow it to cool off. Then you can clean it with a soft, slightly moistened cloth.
Then wipe it dry with a soft, lintfree cloth.
