The optional brackets are to hold the equipment firmly in place, and not for transportation. To transport the equipment, we recommend 

using the heavy duty clamping rack shelf as illustrated in the diagram. Placing the heavy duty clamping rack shelf into a portable 

case. Helps protect the equipment. Please note that the brackets rack shelves and DJ cases are sold separately.
