sAfety instructions - general
•
Please read these instructions carefully and retain them for future reference.
•
Use this appliance solely in accordance with these instructions.
•
This appliance can be used by children older than 8 years and persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, but only if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
•
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
•
Cleaning and maintenance must not be done by children, except if they are older than 8 years and
supervised.
•
Keep the appliance and the cable out of reach of children under 8 years.
•
Have any repairs carried out solely by a qualified electrician. Never try to repair the appliance yourself.
sAfety instructions - electricity and heat
•
Verify that the mains voltage is the same as that indicated on the type plate on the adapter before using
the adapter.
•
Make sure that the adapter is plugged into an earthed wall socket.
•
Always remove the adapter’s plug from the socket when you have finished charging the device and
when you are no longer using the adapter.
•
Always remove the adapter’s plug from the wall socket by pulling on the adapter, not the lead.
•
Check the adapter’s lead regularly to make sure it is not damaged. Do not use the adapter if the lead or
the adapter is damaged. A damaged lead must be replaced by a qualified electrician.
•
Never leave the appliance to charge for more than sixteen hours.
•
Do not use the appliance whilst it is connected to the adapter.
•
Do not charge the appliance in the vicinity of heat sources such as radiators, or in the full sun.
•
Make sure that the appliance and the adapter do not come in contact with water.
•
Discharge the appliance completely once every three months by allowing the appliance to run until the
battery is empty. Then switch off the appliance, and fully recharge it.
sAfety instrunctions - use of the appliance
•
Always use the adapter supplied with the appliance. Do not use the appliance in combination with other
types of adapters.
•
Verify that the attachment is fixed securely before switching on the appliance.
•
Take care during use. Always hold the appliance by the base, not by the attachment. Do not remove an
attachment whilst the appliance is switched on.
•
After you have finished using the appliance clean it with a clean damp cloth.
•
Never immerse the appliance or the adapter in water or other liquids.
•
Do not pick up the appliance if it falls into water whilst it is charging. Remove the adapter from the wall
socket immediately. Do not use the appliance or the adapter any more.
