Drawings Show 12' Long Sidewall
Step 8
Set Walls
1. Square the wall frame. If you are constructing a 16' long building install a full width siding
panel with 'LAP' edge extending 3-1/2" past wall frame. For a 12' long building, cut a siding
panel in half and use the piece with the 'Tongue Edge'.
2. Cut the siding from the door opening, flush with the side of the door opening and the height
of 71". Install another siding panel on the other side of the door opening.
3. Install the last siding pane. It will extend 3-1/2" past the wall frame. If assembling a 12' shed
use the 24" siding panel. If you are installing the optional window, cut an 18-3/8" x 27-1/4"
opening, 36" from the bottom of the siding.
Note: On a 12' long building there will not be
enough space to install the wood shutters.
1. Install wall panels. Secure wall panels together at the corners with 10d sinkers. Nail wall
panels to floor with 16d galv. deck nails.
Cut out bottom plate of door opening and discard.
