Veras ITE models may be supplied with one of several types of wax protection. The following shows
the insertion and removal procedure for the most common types.

1. Remove a tool from the turtle
2. Insert empty end of tool into old filter
and pull it out
3. Push new filter into instrument
4. Discard the used tool

2. Take new filter from box
3. Place gray side of filter on small end of
tool as shown
4. Push filter into instrument
5. To clean: push down and move filter back
and forth on cleaning cloth
