Driving Unit

WARNING
To start a replacement driving unit whose emergency battery is charging:
•
Insert the batteries or
•
Disconnect the replacement driving unit from the mains and then re-establish the
mains power connection
•
Disconnect the driving unit from the mains without completing the shutdown pro-
cedure.
5.8
Battery Charging Unit
Avoid sustained contact with the contacts in the charging slot. Do not
place the battery charging unit in the vicinity of the patient if the patient
is not conscious or unable to move.
5.8.1
Setup
The battery charging unit can charge two batteries at once, independently of one an-
other.

Each battery mount is monitored separately. The current condition of the battery and
battery mount are displayed.

The emergency battery is charging.
Pay attention to the symbol. The
charging process is complete when all
four bars on the symbol are continu-
ously displayed.
