1. Intended use

is a modular cram p on with interchangeable side p arts
and front

oints. (Image 4)
• The p roduct is designed to be mounted on bolt-on ice climbing
shoes and used to p rotect against sli pp ing when p racticing
mountaineering on snow, ice, mixed terrain and in com p etitions.
• For training p ur p oses and com p etitions, the cram p ons can be
used without an y side p oints.

3. Instructions for use
Be sure to follow the instructions for y our fruitboots!
There are 3 p ossible p ositions for the front p oints that the user
can choose (Figure 4) .
• To

oint out of the ice,
p
ull the shoe out with
alternating movements u p and down.
• U nder no circumstances should the front s p ike be moved
sidewa
y
s to detach it from the ice. The
p
roduct can fail due to
wear and tear, aging or other events and there is a consider-
able risk of falling. If
y ou are no longer sure whether y our p rod-

• Before each use, check the p roduct again for tightened screw
connections, cracks, deformation, corrosion or susce
p
tible
damage and that the p latforms are correctl y seated on the
shoe.
4.Maintenance
The
p
latforms are maintenance-free.
H
owever, the maintenance
instructions for bolt-on climbing shoes must be observed and
com
p lied with.

5. Additional Information
Storage:
WKP-21
and general climbing e
q
uipment must be
stored in a well-ventilated, dry and dark place away from direct
sunlight. Do not leave your e
q
uipment unattended.
• Any contact with acid, dirt, aggressive substances, temperature
fluctuations will shorten the life of the product.
I
f in doubt,
discard the e
q
uipment.
D uration of use:
of our p roduct is unlimited, but the usage
regulations, wear limits and storage conditions must be observed.
Transport:
Use appropriate transport bags or containers to
protect the product from chemicals, damage and dirt during
transport.
Rust:
on the tips is not a reason for complaint.
O
ur products are
protected against rust by a thin layer of nickel.
However, this can change when used with the wear out time. To
reduce the formation of rust, it is recommended to coat the rust
spots with oil or grease.
Sharpening:
The front p oints and side p arts ma y onl y be
shar p ened with a hand file, a diamond-coated file is recommended.

When assembling: I
t is necessary to check that the front points
have no lateral play on the screw. All compensating sleeves and
discs must be pressed against each other.

f the screw is tightened
despite play, platform stresses arise that can lead to breakage. The
side parts are so closed place that the marks

• The
W KP-21
platform must be attached to the shoe with
4
screws
in the group 1 or 2 holes provided for this purpose,
see Figure 2
.

t should be noted that the front point protrudes at least 2

must be secured with at least 2 screws (depending on
shoe with 3 screws).

• Before using the crampons, the user must carry out an
adjustment check in a safe place to ensure that the crampons
provide support for the intended use.
