Attaching the Capstan Winch:
•
Attach the winch to an object with the
fastening cable.
1. When attached to a tree or eye bolt you must
open the shackle, put the rope around
the tree, etc., take it back to the shackle and
close it.
2. Reposition the winch in such a way that the
rope guide is aimed in direction of travel.
When the pulling process begins, the winch
will swing itself round to line up the traction
power and the rope. The winch should be free,
flexible, and obstacle-free so that it cannot
cause damage.
Fixation of the winch by using the ratchet tie rope
3. When pulling direction is clearly defined and no
obstacles forces you to move the load left or right
off pulling direction, it is recommended to fix the winch by using the enclosed
ratchet tie rope. e.g. to a tree. This prevents the sideward overturning of the
winch which leads to splutter the pulling rope during the pulling process.
4. Make sure that the place of attachment, e.g., a tree, post or
trailer coupling can withstand the traction forces without
breaking or causing damage.
5. Never allow the connection cable to run over sharp objects as
this could cause the cable to warp or to become damaged.
6. The connection cable should always run along the ground around a tree or a
post.
Winding the Rope onto the Rope Pulley:
•
First of all, check the machine, the
lashing and the load to minimise the
danger of damage and accidents.
1. Run the rope through the integrated
rope guide.
2. Wind the rope not more than 3-fold
around the rope pulley.
3. Pull the rope away sideways from the
outlet opening on the machine.
4. Start the motor.
