Introduction
The TK83 Balance Master 2 is a hand-held vibration dia

ostic instru
ment. It is useful in detecting overall vibration, imbalance, and misali

ment in rotating machinery. It measures and displays unfiltered ( direct)
vibration, DC (gap) voltage, speed, one and two times (lX and 2X) rota
tive amplitude and phase. Si

als from displacement, velocity, accelera
tion and Keyphasor transducers are accepted.
WARNING
Attempting to balance when unknown vibration sources exist
is dangerous and potentially destructive. Conduct tests to
determine vibration sources.
