
INSTALLATION
Open the carton box, make sure it contains the printer
and all accessories. Work through the following instructions
carefully to install the printer (see figure).
1)
Locate the printer in a flat, stable place.
2)
Connect the AC adaptor (NOT supplied) to the printer
and plug into an outlet (Main).
3)
Turn on the DPU-414 printer.
4)
Open the paper cover, place the paper on the cover
to make feeding easier (see figure). When the paper is set
correctly, the OFFLINE lamp stops blinking and stays on to
indicate the printer is still in OFFLINE mode.
5)
For proper operation of thermal printer set DIP
switches as follows.
-Turn the Power on OFF.
-Slide the power switch to ON while pressing the
ONLINE button. Release the ONLINE button.
The thermal printer will print a list of the current settings:
Dip SW-1, Dip SW-2 e Dip SW-3. The current settings is
followed by the prompt: Continue? Push ‘On-line SW’ “,
“Write?: Push ‘Paper feed SW’.
To change the DIP SW
settings, push the ONLINE button
.
To leave the DIP SW settings unchanged, push the FEED
button.
6)
Push the ONLINE button to set the DIP Switch on ON
and the FEED button on OFF.
We recommend
to change ONLY
the DIP SW-2 setting
on the first line
: from (40 columns) set to (80 columns)
(from ON to OFF) and confirm all the others settings of DIP
SW-1, DIP SW-2 and DIP SW-3 (see tables).
At this point push the OFF (FEED) button to confirm the
settings, the printer writes “Dip SW setting complete!!”.
7)
Turn OFF the DPU-414 printer, connect the printer to
the K3-PRT2 interface of KYO320 control panel, with an interface parallel cable
(NOT supplied).
8)
Turn ON the Printer, ready for normal operation.
