Removing the Dead Fronts
The dead fronts are attached to the enclosure with #10 Phillips screws and nylon
washers. The top dead fronts has ten screws, five on each side, in the standard
enclosure or twelve screws, six on each side, in the tall enclosure. The bottom
dead front contains six screws, one in each corner plus one on each side (see
). Remove the screws with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Be sure to support
the dead front so it doesn’t drop when the screws are removed.
Circuit Breaker Dead Fronts
The circuit breaker dead fronts do not need to be removed when wiring the
BUSS. However, they must be removed in order to replace a circuit breaker. Each
dead front has two #10 Phillips-head screws at the top and two at the bottom.
Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove these screws.
