Calling
With your phone you can make conven-
tional (voice) calls as well as video calls.
However, it is not possible to make a
voice call and a video call at the same
time. You can make only one video call
at a time.
You can initiate and accept a call when
the slider is closed. If you close the slider
during a call, the call is ended.
Video calls
To initiate a video call
(in standby mode):

The phone switches to video call mode.
A preview is displayed. You can enter a
number (see Dialling with number keys)
or enter a number from
Contacts
via the
Options menu.
You can also decide to make a video call
after
you have already entered a number
or selected a number from a call list.
Video call if the slider is closed
If you make a video call while the slider
is closed the front camera is not availa-
ble. Therefore the outgoing video is
stopped. Your video is not sent to
the other party. Instead of the video, a
picture is sent automatically. You can
set this video mute picture (page 114).
Opening the slider during a video call
If you open the slider during a video call,
a prompt is displayed asking whether
or not you would like to send your
video. Press

your image to the other party.

meet these requirements you will be
offered the option of making a voice call
instead.
