Set-up

To avoid damage to the downstream  amplifier from potential transients during set-up it is recommended

that this is switched off or the input de-selected before beginning.

Connect the phono leads from the turntable to the two RCA sockets marked ' In'. Use of high quality leads
is recommended. A loose or sloppy connection will degrade noise performance and may lead to loud and

potentially damaging transients. The 'Left' input is colour coded White and the ''Right' input is colour
coded Red.

Connect the HotHead phono stage to the downstream amp using high quality interconnects into the two

RCA sockets marked 'Out'. Previous observations about the need for a good connection apply here too.
The output sockets are colour coded as before.

An earthing lug is provided to connect a turntable earthing lead if necessary due to ground loop hum.

Configure the power supply by selecting the correct mains adaptor suitable for your supply and sliding it

onto the body of the power adaptor until a firm 'click' is heard.
The power supply provided meets current efficiency requirements. Furthermore it is certified globally and

automatically adjusts to local mains voltages and frequencies.

WARNING !

The power supply provided outputs 48v DC which is a higher voltage than most power adaptors.
Accidentally using this adaptor in equipment other than the HotHead phono M may cause serious

damage and / or hazard. Care must be take that this adaptor is only used in HotHead phono M.
Benedict Audio cannot be held liable for any damages arising from any mis-use of this power adaptor.

Use of a power adaptor with HotHead phono M other than the one provided is not recommended as it

may impair noise and linearity performance and / or cause damage to the amplifier.
