Radar Sensor Orientation
The radar sensor (3) must be mounted on a vertical surface
with the embossed logo parallel to the ground. Orientation
is critical for proper operation due to the design of the radar
sensor. Use the lower two mounting holes as a guide.

Radar Sensor Location
Use the mounting screws (2) to attach the radar sensor
(3) to the mounting bracket (1).
See Figure 1
. Details for
attaching the mounting bracket varies depending on the
vehicle model.
Install the radar sensor on the side of the vehicle, between
22 and 36 inches from the ground. The first radar sensor
must be at least 18 inches rear of the side view mirror.
See Figure 5
.

system could lead to a serious accident. Use this guide
along with proper training. Failure to follow all safety
precautions and instructions may result in property
damage, serious injury, or death.
RADAR INSTALLATION
Proper installation of this system requires a complete
understanding of truck electrical systems and general
mechanical and electrical installation procedures.
Correct installation and sensor placement is critical for
effective operation of the system. Each radar sensor
assembly must be installed on the vehicle following all
specifications.
The effective range for each radar sensor (3) is approximately
10 feet out from the vehicle and the detection zone extends
6 feet forward and backward from the sensor. The radar
signal spreads out from the front of the sensor.
See Figure 2.
Two radar sensors (3) together provide a detection zone
approximately 10 foot by 24 foot for bus or straight frame
truck applications.
See Figure 3
.
