Important Safeguards

When using this electrical appliance, the 

following basic safety precautions should 

always be followed:

•  Read all instructions before use. Save 

these instructions.

•  The apparatus shall not be exposed to 

dripping or splashing. To prevent fire 
or shock hazard, DO NOT expose this 
appliance to rain or moisture.

•  To protect against fire, electric shock or 

personal injury, do not immerse the cord, 
plug and power base in water or other 
liquids.

•  Use this appliance with the supplied base 

only. 

•  If the supply cord or any part is damaged, 

cease use of this appliance immediately 
to avoid a hazard.

•  Do not hang the power cord over the 

edge of table or allow the cord or the user 
to touch the external part of the enclosure 
after or during operation.

•  Place the appliance on the firm and 

flat surface to prevent the unit from 
overturning and keep it out of reach of 
children, to prevent damage or injury. Do 
not place it on the heated surface or near 
a hot gas or electric burner or oven. 

•  This appliance is not intended for use by 

persons (including children) with reduced 
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, 
or lack of experience and knowledge, 
unless they have been given supervision 
or instruction concerning use of the 
appliance by a person responsible for their 
safety.

•  Children should be supervised to ensure 

that they do not play with the appliance. 
The appliance is not a toy. 

•  This product is only used for frothing and 

heating milk.  Do not attempt to heat any 
other liquids. Do not use the appliance for 
other intended use. 

•  This appliance has been manufactured for 

the purpose of indoor household use only.  
Do not use it in a commercial or industrial 
environment.  Do not use outdoors.

•  This appliance is not intended to be 

operated by means of an external timer or 
separate remote-control system.

•  This appliance is intended to be used in 

household and similar applications such 
as:

-  Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and 

other working environments;

-  Farm houses;
-  By clients in hotels, motels and other 

residential type environments;

-  Bed and breakfast type environments.

•  The use of any accessories or attachments 

that are not recommended may result 
in fire, electric shock, personal injury 
or damage to this appliance or the 
customer’s property.

•  Unplug the appliance when it is not in use 

and before cleaning. Allow the appliance 
to cool before assembly or dis-assembly 
and before cleaning.

•  Press the buttons gently when you are 

ready to operate the appliance. Always 
operate the appliance with the lid in 
place.

•  Do not overfill. By exceeding the filling 

capacity the jug may overflow. Never 
operate the appliance without milk. This 
will result in damage to the appliance.

•  Warmed milk can cause serious burns. 

Take care when handling or moving the 
milk container when it contains warm milk. 
Always take care to pour warmed milk 
slowly and carefully without tipping the 
appliance too fast.

•  Be aware - Scalding may occur if the lid is 

removed during the brewing cycles.

•  A  short  power-supply  cord  is  provided  to 

reduce the risk of tripping or entanglement.

•  Avoid  contacting  moving  parts  to  reduce 

the  risk  of  severe  injury  to  persons  or 
damage to the appliance. 

•  If  the  supply  cord  is  damaged,  it  must  be 

replaced by the manufacturer or a similarly 
qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

  Be aware - Scalding may occur if the lid is
