Water softening unit
When the tap water in the iron has
been vaporised, its lime content shall
accumulate in the steam channels,
which will lower steam performance,
and to turn yellowish with the effect
of heat; and small particles that may
flow out with the steam from time to
time may stain the cloth.
More importantly, your iron may
become unusable if steam channels
are completely clogged in time.
Therefore, always use decalcified
water in your iron. You can use the
water-softening unit supplied with
your iron for that purpose. Place the
water-filling unit on the water-filling
vessel and fill it with tap water. Tap
water will be slowly filtered down
the water-filling vessel, leaving its
lime content on the filter. In order
to remove the lime on the filter, you
should dissolve 3 teaspoons of table
salt in water and pass this water
through the filter followed by rinsing
a few times, every 2-4 months
depending on the frequency of using
the iron.

Operations After Ironing
5
Unplug the iron after you have
finished the ironing.
Completely pour out the water in
the iron by holding it upside down.
(Figure 11)
Put the steam setting button at
maximum position.
Wipe the iron using a dry or damp
cloth after ironing.
It is recommended for the mainte
-
nance of steam channels to fill the
iron with softened water twice or
three times a year, take the setting to
maximum, use the shock steam but-
ton frequently to vaporize the water
and shake the iron while doing so.
